WORKSHOP ON THE NATIONAL PROGRAM SUPPORT FOR BASIC EDUCATION 2 PROJECT
SEAMEO INNOTECH facilitated the conduct of a workshop from 3 to 4 November in support of a World Bank project that seeks to improve the quality and coverage of Philippine basic education.
The workshop aimed to discuss DepEd’s current reform programs for better appreciation, as well as to identify key policy or reform actions to be included in the National Program Support for Basic Education 2 (NPSBE2). The NPSBE2 is the second in the program series which aims to strengthen the implementation of the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Basic Education Sector Reform Agenda (BESRA).
Attended by officials and representatives of the SEAMEO INNOTECH, World Bank, DepEd, and the Department of Budget and Management, the workshop came up with disbursement linked indicators (DLIs), which shall serve as the World Bank’s basis for the fund allotment to be provided to the Philippine government.
