Teacher Resource Kit Using Mobile Technology for 21st Century (TRK-MT21) Learning in Southeast Asia

TRK-MT21 intends to develop a multi-media and multi-technology resource kit for teachers to enhance the use of mobile devices as tools for teacher professional development and as teaching/learning technologies in the classroom. This resource will enrich their perspective on the many uses and possibilities of mobile technology for enhancing their own 21st Century skills, their adeptness in using mobile technologies for their personal needs as well as using it as a basic tool for communicating and for teaching and learning critical and creative thinking. In particular, this teacher resource will collate, compile, and develop teaching learning materials that would enhance their 21st Century skills acquisition and develop their Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and that of their learners at the same time.

Last 21 – 25 April 2013 a Workshop to Develop the Teacher Resource Kit Using Mobile Technology for 21st Century Learning in Southeast Asia was conducted. The output from this workshop was used in designing the eBooks, eReader, and web portal of the resource kit. Currently, activities are focused on content development of eBooks and procurement of possible eReader service providers.
