REKINDLING AND SUSTAINING THE PASSION FOR TEACHING

SEAMEO INNOTECH held a forum on “Rekindling and Sustaining the Passion for Teaching” last October 3, in partnership with the Metrobank Foundation’s Network of Outstanding Teachers and Educators (NOTED).

The forum, which was held in celebration of the National Teachers’ Month and the Development Policy Research Month, served as a venue to recognize the excellent contributions of all the passionate teachers in the country. It also gave the participants an opportunity to closely examine the best characteristics and qualities of passionate teachers and learn from them to be able to increase their pool in the country. The forum further highlighted the sharing of the personal journey and significant experiences of outstanding educators, including previous recipients of the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Teacher Award. The experiences shared revolved on their hardships, the influences, and the factors that sustain their passion for their profession.
