PRESIDENT AQUINO TO DELIVER KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT INNOTECH’S 13TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III confirmed his attendance in the SEAMEO INNOTECH 13th International Conference on education for sustainable development (ESD), scheduled on 11 to 13 December 2012 at the Edsa Shangri-la Hotel in Mandaluyong City.

President Aquino will deliver the keynote address to a large group of educators, environmental advocates, researchers and policymakers from various local and international organizations. Joining him in the conference are two other high officilals of the Philippine government with stakes on ESD–Senator Loren B. Legarda, a well-known advocate for green development, and Education Secretary Br. Armin A. Luistro, FSC.

The three -day conference, with the theme “Educating for the Future We Want: A Green Southeast Asia,” aims to celebrate and share lessons from the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, the RIO+20 UN Conference on ESD, and the pursuit of the ASEAN Vision for 2015 of a single Southeast Asian community.
