Weaving Identities is a teacher toolkit that contains information and resources about the Southeast Asian community. It has been designed to provide teachers and instructors with easily accessible materials that would complement their own lectures, exercises and lesson plans.
This toolkit can be used to expand one’s knowledge of Southeast Asia: its culture, economy and socio-political communities. However, Weaving Identities does not seek to highlight any particular nation. Unique to this toolkit is how it aims to show the similarities that unite our Southeast Asian community. It is hoped that by learning more about our collective traits, values, history and culture, we may build a strong Southeast Asian identity. This is the goal of ASEAN Vision 2015.
