Monthly Spotlight is an electronic publication of SEAMEO INNOTECH which features a certain research or learning program. For the month of May 2021, we featured the recent online event, “Digital Wellbeing of Filipino Learners: A Webinar on Youth Cybersafety and Digital Citizenship.”
The global pandemic has posed a “new normal” for everyone—more people are online, more transactions are being done online, schools shifting to online classes and other alternative modes of education, social distancing, and more. The sudden shift to going more digital has its pros and cons in people’s daily life. And the need to discuss how people, especially the youth, use and act on the digital platforms is more prominent now more than ever. On 28 May 2021, SEAMEO INNOTECH conducted the Digital Wellbeing of Filipino Learners: A Webinar on Youth Cybersafety and Digital Citizenship, via Zoom with live broadcasts on Facebook and YouTube.
