Yes, it is! From our speaker, “online world is the extension of the real life”.

The loneliness that they experience from home  resorted to being an addict using the internet. They just believed that whatever they couldn’t grab and seek for inside their real world can be instantaneously realized in the online world.

But of course, everything has its limits, therefore, its on us to change learners’ perspective on this. We, as ALS implementers must always remjnd them that not all real can be seen in the online world. And not all that can be seen in the online world are real.

To prevent the said scenario, what I think I can do is to talk to them sincerely. Inform them the pros and cons of using SocMed. Mention to them that even in the internet, enemies are present especially if they want to convey anything that could hurt anybody reading the post.

Lastly, tell them that online world is an extension of the real world. What they don’t want in real life must not also be wanted over the internet. If they don’t want to have enemies for real, they must not do any to have enemies even over the net.

I too is being touched by the words of the speaker on that certain podcast friend 🙂 I could really sense that. The love and intuition of having those answers really had made an impact on my thinking on the said topic.
