A digital citizen is a person using information technology in order to engage in society, politics, and government. As defined by Karen Mossberger, one of the authors of Digital Citizenship: The Internet, Society, and Participation, digital citizens are “those who use the internet regularly and effectively.” according to Wikipedia.

I will give them the best learning materials that suits to their needs, and I t helps a lot to my learners who need to develop their skill in terms of social media or internet accessibility. This is the opportunity to realize and understand their responsibility in using social media , or gadgets, or any platforms that evolve today..

As an ALS teacher, I will do my part in helping learners use digital technologies safely, responsibly , and productively in such a way like the conduct of learning intervention , provided by the topics related to issues and concerns. Serve as guidance councilor in giving advices, reminders, encourage them to join forum or conferences , attending seminars related to that.

How I can help control the resources that learners access online? I think I have to make a kind of strategy . Like for example, instead of research that has to be done in forms of internet connection, I’d rather to conduct activities using books or any materials that are not related to any online supplementary materials. This is a very simple way, though there’s a lot of strategies to be delivered.

Other source said, it is easy to think of the internet as a separate world and to assume our online identities, actions, and relationships are somehow walled off from our “real world” selves. Easy to think… But the truth is online world is connected to the real world. Using facebook, messenger, twitter, or any other social media accounts that represents or shows actions, activities, data, communications, are proofs that the online world is connected to real world. Despite the distances from each other, there is a communication. Seeing events or particular events around the world. There’s a lot of instances or evidences that online world is connected to real world.
