This Online Safety podcast is one brilliant innovation each one should take advantage to. It does not only raise awareness to learners to be responsible in manipulating digital tools helpful in their learnings but to the parents and teachers as well. Digital technology is so beneficial especially in unlocking our learning difficulties. In order to produce quality learning experience, both parents and teachers must work hand in hand to protect our children from harm that is lurking behind irresponsible use of digital technology. Having listened to this podcast is such an honor because not everybody is privileged to take this ride in this new normal way. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. We are all aiming for a quality education for every Filipino and with this I know it will go a long way.

Proper guidance must first start at home. We’ve been doing our best in school to educate learners but its not being practice at home. I agree that parents and teachers should work together. Lets try to orient the parents first in terms of social awareness online and the proper behavior that they should know so they can show it to their children. This partnership i think is very much useful and relevant in the life of the children. Sometimes children are very cruel and have much curiosity even trying some sites which are prohibited and use to try and explore something even lack of knowledge without knowing it has threats ahead.

Online Behavior: Values are caught rather than taught

In every action we yield leaves a stream of information that could be recorded and stored in the developing minds of every individual. Young generations look up to influential people, admiring their actions especially in dealing with the challenging immense of changing technologies. The challenge is always on the demonstration of positive online behavior in the different platforms of social media. Social media is not nameless, thus, status online will stay with you for a long time. Teachers need to upgrade professionally on behavioral and technical approaches for online safety. This is to successfully orient our leaners to practice safe, responsible and productive use of digital resources and applications. Learners must develop self-regulation or management in order for them to become responsible citizen in digital world. They must be taught on how to deal social dilemma like ignoring non-sense posts and to observe cyber awareness.
