Atty. Ira Paulo A. Pozon graduated MBA from De La Salle University, Juris Doctor from Far Eastern University, and Masters of Law in International Commercial Law (with Honors) from the University of Nottingham, UK. He is an alumni of Chevening UK Government scholarships, Confucius Institute scholarships, US State Department – International Visitor Leadership Program, a Fellow of the Asia Global Institute – University of Hong Kong, and a Senior Fellow of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy – National University of Singapore.

He is currently Manager of the Legal, Policy, and Quality Management Office and former Chief of Staff of SEAMEO INNOTECH, an intergovernmental interregional organization hosted by the Philippines. Previously he was also Legal Counsel to the Philippine Vice President Jejocmar C. Binay and Chief of Staff of the Anti-Red Tape Authority. Through his Public Policy and Government Relations work, Atty. Pozon has written and advocated for key legislation such as the Ease of Doing Business Act, the Expanded Maternity Leave Act, and the New Corporation Code, among many others. He has lectured and spoken on emerging trends in the Philippines, China and Hong Kong, China, including topics such as Automation, E-Commerce and Fintech, The Belt and Road Initiative, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, among others.

In the Philippines he is among the youngest officers of the Management Association of the Philippines, Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and Fellow of the Foundation for Economic Freedom.

He is a licensed Data Protection Officer and licensed Arbitrator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He was the 2024 Outstanding Transformative Leader of the SGV-MAP NextGen CEO Transformative Leadership Program.

He has also taught law in the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and the Universidad De Manila, and is a published columnist with The Manila Times (the Philippines), the Philippine Daily Inquirer (Philippines), Asia Global Online (Hong Kong), and The South China Morning Post (Hong Kong, China). He speaks English, Filipino, Visayan, and Mandarin.
