INNOTECH donates school supplies, food, toys to children this Christmas season
As part of SEAMEO INNOTECH’s annual social responsibility activities, the Center donated school supplies, food, and toys to selected communities.
On 13 December 2022, SEAMEO INNOTECH joined the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) in their Christmas celebration, “Batong Bulilit Christmas Candy Party.” The event was held at the NKTI Atrium in Quezon City for children with kidney diseases in the Outpatient Department. Around 70 children, aged 4-18 years old, with kidney diseases like Nephrotic Syndrome, Lupus Nephritis, and chronic kidney disease, spent their morning filled with fun activities, games, food, prizes, and gifts from NKTI and their event partners. INNOTECH, being one of the sponsors, provided school supply sets to the children. Each kit contains a notebook, pencil, eraser, scissors, ruler, glue, sharpener, and ballpens.
Following this event, the Center also provided meals in support of the Christmas party celebration for the children in a small community in Quezon City. Around 80 children living in the community joined the event.
The Center’s staff and partners also participated in an activity where they donated toys for the children in White Cross Orphanage. Aside from the toys, the Center also donated rice, cooking supplies, and monetary support to the orphanage. This donation will benefit around 70 children housed in the facility.
