INNOTECH CELEBRATES AND RENEWS PARTNERSHIPS AT 40
Over the past 40 years, the Center has established itself as a reliable partner in the field of education and innovation. Its wide range of networks and linkages at the national, regional and global levels contributed much to its present stature.
In recognition of these partnerships, SEAMEO INNOTECH held a forum on July 16 to celebrate its long-standing partnerships and renew commitments to continuously develop relevant and effective education solutions for the region and beyond.
More specifically, the forum focused on the transfer of mature technologies and explores possible collaborative ventures along the major themes which the Center is currently pursuing under its 8th Five-Year Development Plan. These include (1) knowledge management, innovations and educational technology; (2) policy, educational management and instructional leadership; and (3) education for sustainable development.
Among the guests were Mrs. Sivika Mektavatchaikul (Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education Thailand and chairperson of the SEAMEO INNOTECH Governing Board), Bro. Armin Luistro (Secretary, Department of Education, Philippines), Mr. Ramon C. Bacani (Undersecretary, Department of Education, Philippines and chair of the SEAMEO High Officials), and Dr. Stephen Anzalone (Vice President for Asia, Education Development Center).
Part of the event was the ceremonial signing of MOUs with EDC and with the Global Facilitators Service Corps (GFSC).
The partnership forum was conducted by the Center in close collaboration with the Education Development Center, an international non-profit organization that shares the same institutional values and mission with INNOTECH as regards designing, delivering and evaluating innovative education programs.
