DR. PEFIANCO HANDS OVER LEADERSHIP TO NEW CENTER DIRECTOR

After 12 years of service, Dr. Erlinda C. Pefianco handed over the leadership of SEAMEO INNOTECH to Dr. Ramon C. Bacani at a turning-over ceremony last 30 July, 2010.

Dr. Bacani worked as Undersecretary for Operations of the Philippine Department of Education (DepED) before assuming the post of Center Director of SEAMEO INNOTECH, where he previously served as representative to the Governing Board as well as a SEAMEO High Official.

He also previously served as DepED Undersecretary for Programs and Projects, Assistant Secretary for Planning, Administration and Human Resource Development, Deputy Project Director of the Third Elementary Education Project and Chairman of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the UNICEF-funded Country Programs for Children – Education For All. He was in the Board of Trustees of several state colleges and universities and a project coordinator for the Second Elementary Education Project of the World Bank/OECF.

Before joining the DepED, he held positions at the National Economic and Development Authority, the Department of Health and Hospitals – City of Boston, and the Department of Budget and Management.
