Kochakorn Khattapan-Acidre is a Centre Deputy Director at the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Centre for Innovation in Learning Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH).

She has over 15 years of experience working in the field of education, with a focus on ASEAN affairs and educational development. She has held various positions at the Ministry of Education, Thailand, including Director of Educational Development Unit, Regional Education Service No. 9 (Chachengsao), Head of ASEAN Affairs and senior foreign relations officer responsible for international cooperation on education. She has also worked as an educator and a senior programme office for Thai National Commission for UNESCO.

Acidre is a passionate advocate for education and innovation. She is committed to using technology to improve the quality of education for all learners. She is also a strong believer in regional cooperation and believes that Southeast Asian countries can learn from each other to improve their education systems.

Her current activities with SEAMEO INNOTECH are to promote the use of technology in classrooms by partnering with technological companies and conducting innovative activities (i.e., robotic competition, innovation camp, youth summit) at the institutional and national levels.

She is a PhD. Candidate in Development Administration (Policy and Management) from the National Institute of Development Administration, holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Thammasat University, and a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature from Thammasat University.

She moved to the Philippines in June 2023 and lives with her husband, Jude Avorque Acidre, a Congressman of the Philippines’ House of Representatives from Tingog Party List.
